April Mystery Game of the Month!

Law & Order: Double or Nothing
Legacy Interactive

An important scientist has been found murdered in his car located in Manhattan. You must partner with Detective Lennie Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) to uncover clues, piece together evidence, and interview witnesses and suspects. Choose between four different skills (Team Work, Case Organization, Interview/Questioning Witnesses, and Evidence Collection) to help your investigation through the twisted love affairs, secret aliases, and other corruption.

After you arrest your suspect you must aid the Assistant D.A. Serena Southerlyn (Elisabeth Rohm) to obtain a "guilty" verdict. There are mini-investigations between trial segments as you put the final pieces together since you must be prepared with the proper evidence and witnesses when it's your day in court. The trial is interactive and cross-examinations become sticky as you defend your statements with the evidence.

There are short detective and lawyer tutorials to help get you aquainted with the game. Other features include submitting evidence to the lab or research department, ordering surveillance, and requesting psychiatric examinations. The world in play is fairly free reign and more locations open up for you to investigate as you delve deeper into the case.

For a taste of Law and Order II: Double or Nothing there is an online demo at the game's website.
