Classic comedians Tim Conway and Don Knotts star in this zany murder mystery spoof. Two clumsy detectives are hired to solve the murders of the Lord and Lady of a rich English manor before the rest of the family and staff are also murdered. The problem is that everywhere they turn they find another dead body and the moment they turn their back the body disappears, leaving them to solve additional murders that they can't even prove happened. The suspense grows as the list of available victims grows thin.

A gun that goes off every hour, dark secret passageways that lead to suspicious peepholes in the eyes of paintings, carrier pigeon mayhem, a "wookalar"... laughs abound in this film suited for the whole family. Filmed at the Biltmore House in Ashville, NC, The Privates Eyes is a wonderful complement to the movie Clue.
