Mitch McDeere (Tom Cruise) has just graduated Harvard Law School and can have virtually any job he wants. But out of the pack of big names, a too-good-to-be-true offer is given to him by a small firm in Memphis. For a while the lifestyle Mitch and his wife, Abby (Jeanne Tripplehorn), live is beyond their wildest dreams... until an FBI agent asks Mitch to spy on his new employers.

Mitch begins to investigate the corruption and murder within the firm, and finds himself caught between the FBI, the mob, his brother's life, his wife's trust, and The Firm.

Arguably, The Firm is considered the best screen adaptation of a John Grisham novel.
